Celebrate Oktoberfest in Seneca: A Full Day of Fall Fun on October 10!

Fall is calling, and Seneca’s annual Oktoberfest celebration is back Saturday, October 10, 2026! 🍂🍺

Celebrating the German heritage of Nemaha County, Oktoberfest brings a full day of activities to downtown Seneca with something for just about everyone. Bring the kids, invite your friends and plan to make a day of it with family activities, shopping, local dining, craft vendors, live music, beer tasting and more!

👟 Start the Day with the Volksmarch

Oktoberfest begins with the Volksmarch Community Walk at 9:30 a.m., starting at 5th & Main.

This community walk isn’t a race and it isn’t a pledge walk. It’s simply a fun way to get outside, get moving and enjoy Seneca!

Participation is a free-will donation, with all proceeds benefiting the Nemaha County Christmas Bureau. The Volksmarch is co-sponsored by the Seneca Run Club.

🎈 Bring the Kids to Kinderfest

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., downtown Seneca turns into a kids’ zone with Kinderfest!

One of the biggest additions this year is our brand-new Touch-A-Truck, happening from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kids can get an up-close look at vehicles from local businesses and area emergency services.

We know the lights, horns and sirens that make Touch-A-Truck exciting for some kids can be overwhelming for others. That’s why 10 to 11 a.m. will be a sensory-friendly hour with no lights or sirens. After 11 a.m., the lights and sirens can join the fun!

Plus, we’ll have balloon animals from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and even more activities throughout the Kinderfest area.

Kinderfest is sponsored by Community National Bank and Rainbow Communications.

🛍️ Shop the Craft Markt AND Seneca!

While the kids are having fun, there’s plenty for the grown-ups to explore too!

Our Craft Markt runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. along Main Street and will feature vendors offering handmade goods, unique finds and plenty of opportunities to do a little fall shopping.

But don’t stop at just the vendor booths!

Oktoberfest is the perfect excuse to make a full day of exploring Seneca. Visit our local retailers, browse the shops downtown and around town, grab lunch at one of our restaurants, stop for a sweet treat or come back for dinner.

Supporting local businesses is one of the best parts of spending a day in Seneca, so give yourself plenty of time to explore!

🍺 Sample 10 Craft Beers at the Biergarten

At 4 p.m., the evening portion of Oktoberfest gets underway!

Beer Tasting guests can sample 10 craft beers on Seneca’s Main Street from 4 to 7 p.m.

🎟️ Beer Tasting Tickets: $25

Tickets can be purchased at the Seneca Area Chamber & Downtown Impact office or online.

🎶 Live Music from Dry County

Grab a drink, find your friends and stick around because Dry County takes the stage from 4 to 7 p.m.!

Enjoy three hours of live local music right on Main Street while taking in the Oktoberfest atmosphere.

Live music is sponsored by United Bank & Trust and the Northeast Kansas Arts Foundation.

🍺 Think You Can Hold Your Stein?

It’s back!

Our 3rd Annual Stein Holding Competition begins at 5:30 p.m. on Main Street.

For just a $3 entry fee, put your strength and endurance to the test and see how long you can keep that stein up!

🍂 Make a Day of It in Seneca
