Museum Fest – A Celebration of Seneca’s History!
Join us for Seneca’s Museum Fest, a community-wide celebration of history, culture, and family fun! Formerly known as Museum Day, Museum Fest continues to grow each year with interactive experiences, special presentations, and activities for all ages.

📍 Location: Museums and locations throughout Seneca
All five of Seneca’s museums will be open and free to visit:
• Pony Express Museum
• Fire Department Museum
• Military Museum (Temple of Honor)
• Historic Jail & Residence
• Hand Dug Well
This year’s Museum Fest will also feature exciting new experiences and family-friendly activities throughout the day!
The Children’s Discovery Center Mobile Exhibit will be set up at Castle Hall featuring more than a dozen hands-on exhibits designed especially for children ages 1–10. Kids can explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through interactive play and discovery.
The Nemaha Central Band will host a lunch stand during the event.
At 12 PM, nationally known Cowboy Poet Ron Wilson will present “Ridin’ Trails and Writin’ Rhymes: Cowboy Culture of Kansas.” Through stories, humor, and original poetry, Wilson brings Kansas cowboy culture and frontier history to life in a fun, family-friendly presentation.
Visitors who stop at half of the museum locations will be entered to win great local prizes!
