Seneca's Second Saturday Live Music Series Brings Vibrant Performances to Downtown Seneca

Get ready to mark your calendars for a sensational lineup of live music and community events in Seneca! The Seneca Area Chamber and Downtown Impact are thrilled to announce the return of the Second Saturday Live Music Series, taking place every Second Saturday from May through October.

Kicking off the series on Saturday, May 11, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm in the shade at 5th and Main, local Kansas singer/songwriter Nirvana Hope will grace the stage. Known for her emotive original songs and beloved 90s jams, Nirvana promises an evening of uncorked musical magic.

In June, don't miss John Depew on Saturday, June 8, from 1 to 3 pm on Main Street during Seneca’s Museum Fest. A multi-talented artist hailing from South Central Kansas, John is the reigning Kansas State Mandolin Champion of 2022. His diverse musical influences range from bluegrass and old-time tunes to modern jazz and global rhythms, making for an unforgettable performance.

On Saturday, July 13 musical acts will be found in the Seneca City North Park for the American Legion Riders Chapter 21 annual SmokN' Hawgs BBQ and Bike Show. Music will be played in the park from 10am to 10pm that day, including a performance by Suzy & The Reckless taking place in the afternoon, more details will be available closer to the event.

As summer heats up, join us on Saturday, August 10, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at 5th and Main for a captivating performance by Sally Vee. Drawing inspiration from nature, literature, and the Flint Hills of Kansas, Sally's music has earned accolades at the Walnut Valley Festival and captivated audiences on main stages across the country.

Saturday, September 14 brings The Church Ladies to the stage from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. This harmony-based vocal trio will entertain with polished performances of folk, country, gospel, and old-time rock, showcasing their energetic and humorous ensemble.

Closing out the series on Saturday, October 12 with a special Oktoberfest performance on Saturday, October 12, from 4 to 7 pm featuring The Haymakers. This Wichita-based acoustic Americana string band, known for their lively performances and unique sound, promises to bring a festive atmosphere to the heart of Seneca.

All performances are free to attend, so bring your lawn chairs and join us in Downtown Seneca for a summer filled with music, community, and fun.
