Seneca Veteran's Banner Project

The Seneca Area Chamber and Downtown Impact is proud to announce a partnership with the Nemaha County Historical Society and Temple of Honor Military Museum for a new Veteran’s Banner Project for the Downtown Light Poles for 2024.

The banners will hang downtown for approximately one month (October through Veterans Day). The goal is to have the banners be on a 4-year rotation, this first year however banners will be selected to be displayed for 2 years, 3 years, and 4 years.

By completing this form, your submission will be entered into a drawing for the open Veteran's banner spots.

We have 18 banner spots to fill this first year, applications will be taken until Monday, July 8. On Tuesday, July 16 applications will be drawn at random to fill the spots for the following:

2 year spots: 6 spots — $200 each

3 year spots: 6 spots — $225 each

4 year spots: 6 spots — $250 each

After the initial 2 years, only 4 year spots will be available. Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will receive a banner spot.

This fee covers the cost of the banner, a donation to the military museum, and a small fee in case the need to replace a banner arises.

If your application is selected, you will have 2 weeks to provide a picture and the payment to Seneca Area Chamber. If your application is selected, you are also welcome to submit a biography of your Veteran, which will go into the Military Museum collection.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to the City of Seneca for their invaluable assistance in putting up and taking down the banners on the poles. Their support is instrumental in making this project a reality.

Sponsors may submit multiple applications (multiple Veterans), but only one application per Veteran.

The application can be filled out below, or paper forms are available at the Seneca Area Chamber and Downtown Impact office, 523 Main Street, Seneca.

Applications for 2024 have closed. Please contact us at 785-336-1313 with questions. Thank you!
