🌟 Explore Rural Northeast Kansas with the Trek Northeast Kansas Passport
Looking for a fun way to explore this summer? We’ve got just the thing.
The Trek Northeast Kansas Passport kicks off May 4 and runs through August 31, inviting you to discover the best of rural Northeast Kansas in a whole new way.
🗺️ A Regional Adventure Awaits
This interactive passport experience takes you across Seneca, Doniphan County, Holton, and Jackson County, highlighting the places that make each community unique. From local shops and restaurants to historic landmarks, public art, and hidden gems, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Funded in part by a Kansas Tourism Marketing Grant, this initiative is all about encouraging people to explore more, stay longer, and support local along the way.
📱 How It Works
Getting started is easy:
- Download the TownTrek app
- Join the Trek Northeast Kansas Passport (event code: TREKNEKS)
- Start visiting stops across the region
You’ll check in at each location using GPS, photos, or QR codes. Every check-in earns you points, bringing you closer to prizes at the end of the passport.
🛍️ Shop, Dine, and Discover
Whether you're grabbing a bite to eat, shopping local, or learning something new at a historic site, each stop is part of a bigger story. As Executive Director Kylee Bergstrom shared, this passport is designed to help people “experience everything our communities have to offer.”
Even better, some locations will offer special deals when you check in, giving you even more reason to explore.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Fun for Everyone
The passport is open to all ages and is perfect for families, day trips, or even a weekend adventure with friends. Whether you’re a lifelong local or visiting for the first time, you’re bound to find something new.
